Step by Step

  1. Seniors and children form mixed teams of 4-8 players. Each team takes a turn, holding the edges or corners of the tarp.
  2. Have another person place the ball on the tarp. This person can also record and write down the time.
  3. Strategically begin to move the ball along the perimeter of the tarp without it falling through any holes. The teammates must communicate with each other to know when, where to move the ball, as well as how to move the ball (e.g., have a teammate lower the tarp towards his or herself to move the ball in his or her direction).
  4. The aim of the challenge is for the tennis ball to travel around the tarp for the longest time possible without falling through the holes or coming off the tarp.
  5. The team, which manages to let the ball travel for the longest time is the winner. It is also possible to leave out the competitive factor and only let each team play freely.
